PDO Thread Lifting
Weaving A New Picture Of Beauty… Together
A leading alternative to surgical facelifts, PDO thread lifting is a revolutionary age-defying treatment that both lifts and rejuvenates the skin almost instantaneously.
Approved by the FDA and known for requiring minimal downtime, PDO thread lifting is quickly rising in popularity amongst those within the aesthetic industry.
About PDO Thread Lifting
PDO thread lifting is a non-surgical process by which polydioxanone threads are inserted beneath the facial skin to prompt a targeted inflammatory response.
As the body responds to the presence of these threads — the likes of which will be naturally dissolved and absorbed within a matter of months — the skin itself will lift, tighten, and produce larger quantities of collagen.
This treatment is used to lift and tighten the skin around:
- The jowls
- The neck
- The eyes
- The mouth
- And more
The Benefits Of PDO Thread Lifting
This treatment is completed using an injection method, meaning no incisions or other surgical procedures are necessary at any point throughout the treatment.
Additionally, as the threads themselves are absorbable, you can trust your body to complete the process on its own, meaning you do not have to deal with the anxiety or discomfort associated with thread or suture removal.
Finally, these threads last for months, rendering the results relatively long-term.
The PDO Thread Lifting Process
When a patient arrives for their appointment, we will apply a topical anesthetic, disinfect the skin, and inject lidocaine into the treatment area.
Once the target skin is sufficiently numb, we will inject the PDO threads, thus anchoring them to the inner facial tissue and prompting the beginning of the body’s natural rejuvenation process. Depending on the desired treatment type and location, various sizes and types of thread will be used, albeit any excess thread will be trimmed off.
The treatment takes up to 30 to 45 minutes on average.
Once the treatment is complete, patients can expect to feel tenderness, mild pain, and experience swelling and/or bruising in the days following. These side effects typically subside within one to two weeks and can be easily treated with over-the-counter pain medications.
