Laser Hair Removal Treatments
Leave The Nicks And Cuts Of Shaving In The Past
Having easily moved to the forefront of the laser and aesthetics industry, laser hair removal is one of the most commonly performed laser treatments today.
Non-invasive and relatively painless, patients who seek to reduce and eliminate their unwanted body hair— be it on their face, legs, underarms, back, or somewhere else — will find lasting satisfaction with this treatment.
About Laser Hair Removal
Laser hair removal is the process by which we emit a variety of wavelengths onto and below the skin, thus transferring heat to the tissues surrounding the hair.
Using diode laser technology to target the hair follicle stems cells within the skin, we can effectively reduce or permanently eliminate hair growth in an isolated area.
The degree to which a patient’s hair is thinned or removed is dependent upon:
- The color of their skin
- The color of their hair (Blonde or light hair cannot be treated with laser hair removal)
- The thickness of their hair
- And more
Laser Hair Removal Benefits
Laser hair removal doesn’t just eliminate the pain and frustration of continual waxing and shaving. It also:
- Is relatively painless
- Requires no downtime
- May leave the skin softer than it was before treatment
- Help to eliminate ingrown hairs
- And more
The Laser Hair Removal Process
Before beginning, Patients are provided goggles to protect their eyes throughout the treatment process. The procedure is simple: we will apply the diode laser to the treatment area and repeat the session several times every four to six weeks.
The number of treatments required will depend upon the color of the patient’s skin and hair.
Laser hair removal is relatively painless. However, we ask that patients shave the treatment area before arriving, as hair that is still present during the treatment may absorb the laser energy and heat the skin itself, resulting in discomfort or a burning sensation.
Following their appointment, patients may experience redness and swelling on/around the treatment site for the next 24 hours.
We encourage patients to avoid any medication or tanning services before getting Laser Hair Removal, as this could result in more serious side effects.
